Kinesio Taping

The Kinesio taping method is designed to facilitate the body's natural healing process and to provide extended soft tissue manipulation to prolong the benefits of manual therapy, while allowing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body's range of motion. Kinesio tape can be applied in many ways and has the ability to reeducate the neuromuscular system, reduce pain and inflammation, enhance performance, prevent injury and promote circulation and healing.

Dry Needling

Dry needling involves the needling of myofascial trigger points or other soft tissue using very thin needles. A trigger point is an irritable 'knot' or palpable nodule within a muscle that can cause pain which may radiate over an area and can lead to difficulty performing everyday tasks. Dry needling is usually combined with other techniques such as massage to help manage myofascial pain and restore function of musculoskeletal disorders.
A pre-treatment assessment and interview will help determine if this treatment is suitable for you.

Active Isolated Stretching

Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) is a dynamic method of stretching and strengthening designed to open up the narrow joint space caused by muscle tightness. AIS helps to separate connective tissue adhesion and break poor habits of posture and movement.  Each position uses a short 2-3 second period of over-stretch, each arc of joint movement is repeated 10 times. This technique will help to remodel habitual patterning, teaching the body that the stretch and movement is ok- getting the most out of your body.
